Flag football in Prague: Třinec beaten, Panthers pushed all the way
On Saturday 6 September, Nordians Teplice played their first flag football tournament of the season at UNYP Arena in Prague. We came with a solid squad and, above all, to gain experience, as many rookies joined our flag team this year.
- Nordians vs. Prague Black Panthers 26-31
- Nordians vs. Příbram Bobcats 0-49
- Nordians vs. Třinec Sharks 34-13
Keeping pace with the Panthers
Right in the opening game against the Prague Black Panthers we showed we can compete with them. We kept pace the whole game and in the end we were just one touchdown short of a win.
The Bobcats were too strong, Třinec we beat
Against the Příbram Bobcats, on the other hand, we really struggled and lost 0-49. We made up for it at the end, though. The game against the Třinec Sharks went well and with a 34-13 win we took our first flag victory of the season.
Overall we see the tournament as a positive one and left Prague with a good feeling. You can read how we followed up three weeks later in our Přerov report.
